Just got a note from Row52 regards the above. Dated Nov. 09. In case anyone down there is collecting hen's teeth and 5 speeds. Doug
 
Wish I was closer, would love another spare on my shelf as I have two cars using them now. Hope someone can grab it.
 
What’s the correct yr for a Datsun 210 to Bugeye trans ?
 
Any way to tell from the listing if 4, 5 speed or Auto. Now if I had time to run over there and pull it, about 70 minutes away.
 
If a 5 speed it would probably be worth your time and effort.

Well, I guess we don't know how much they want for it though.
 
Should have the number "60" (large raised numbers) on its side.

Anyone know if Tranny can be pulled without pulling engine on a Datsun 210. Thinking about going to this yard on Saturday AM. Not sure what if any this scrapping yard will provide to assist in pulling a tranny. Have never dealt with a Pick and Pull re. policies on assistance. I don't know if top bolts on that tranny are accessible with engine in the car. This could well be an automatic or tranny could already have been removed.
 
Well no luck, engine and tranny already gone. 3 hours invested driving over and back and $20 worth of gas. This one looks like it was stripped out a long time ago. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Anyone got a spare to sell for a new Project I'm looking at.

No luck, engine and granny gone. Oh well $20 worth of gas and some time.
 
I have a Datsun 5-speed with the "60" stamped on it. No shifter, but has fork and throwout bearing. I don't know the condition as I bought it with a project Midget, but cant use it in California (my Midget is a 77 and cant use the 1275 engine I bought it with due to smog junk). The tranny LOOKS like it was freshly overhauled as it's mega clean, painted silver, has res sealant visible in parts and has "warranty" stickers at parting halves. I'm looking to recoup some losses I have as I had to get another engine and Spitfire 4-speed with O/D for my Midget. Make me a nice offer and I'll ship it right away.

Part of the top of the bell-housing will need some removal (easy), and a custom shifter (stick) has to be fabricated. I copied Gerard's.

Tell us more. I have the trans and Gerards parts. Just not sure what to do and what else I need. I lost the destructions!😂

Try to contact Gerard. He can probably send you instructions. I think he is still around, just not posting here for a while.
