1980 Midget FS in Florida

I sent this to my Dad who lives in Sarasota, just because he lives there, not that he was in the market.
I was surprised to get a call from him that he was thinking of buying it! I talked him out of it. No way he'd be able to climb in and out of it (recent knee surgery and not done yet). He was impressed with the car, not perfect but very nice, very original and from Canada, could be an '80 for real?
about 20,000 original miles I think. $5500 I think.

Not too sure, the Vin they have listed looks strange to me, but I'm not that familiar with the newer cars.

According to the Moss/VB Engine/Chassis identifiers car # 226483 was made in 79, but could still have been imported into Canada as an 80. I guess you would have to look at the certification tags on the car.

I guess the year is academic. Looks like a very clean original 1500 though. That's a pretty good price for a nice specimen RB like that, no? I should have him buy, then I could steal it from him for my kids to drive.

yeah ..that vin is not right. The second "G" should be a "6" i think.

That's interesting. Did the Midgets come with that color valve cover? Looks like Chevvy orange.

That's the color of the valve cover on my 20K miles car, and Chevy engine orange is a perfect match.

What's the deal with one odometer showing 32,792 km and another showing 16,324 miles?

there is a lot of flooding in florida check the sills.
the alternator is on the wrong side oh wait its a trumph engine after 75.
