Hello Learned Forum, I need to update the old Bosch plugs that came with this recently purchased car. My HAYNES workshop manual recommends Champion N9YCC & N9YC. But I am curious if the Forum has a favorite (1.8L) for this motor which is currently running a Weber downdraft (# 10046) carb. BTW: I am loving this lively little car.
Thanks,

NGK BP6ES is pretty much a standard.

De nada.

Be aware that the BP6ES is no longer being produced and is pretty much unavailable unless someone has a stash of NOS plugs. If you order these online anywhere you'll almost certainly be sent BPR6ES - the resistor version.

That is news to me. What is your next best choice. Bosch, Champion or other?

I'm not saying the resister plugs cannot or should not be used, but just wanted you to be aware. Many use the resistor plugs with no issues.

I have Champion plugs in my car. They've been in there for several years. I don't know if non-resistor Champions are available either. Manufacturers have been phasing out the non-resistor plugs since new cars haven't used them for years...
