1979 Midget Wiring Diagram, Harness, etc.

Any idea where I can get a wiring diagram for a 1979 MG Midget. I am NOT an electrician, so I need something I can follow. I am not dumb either. Also, any suggestions for new wiring harness and wires? Should I just buy spools of wire and do it myself?? So many lights have cut/broken wires to the lamps, etc. Also where can I get a list of bulbs I need for all of the lights on the car and where to buy them.

Well, there you are Joker. Long time.

The back of the Hynes manuel has a wireing diagram.

Bulbs can be gotten from Autozone or such, take the old ones in, think there are only 5 different total on the car.

Right on J-Dog..thank you sir!

I seem to remember that there was some discussion, a few months ago, about someone who provided good wiring diagrams for all Sprites; do a search through the archives and maybe it will turn up. The ones in the Haynes manual for later Sprites will definitely do the job, but they aren't terribly user-friendly. Even though I'm a certifiable electrogeek, they give me a headache in five minutes flat.

One of our members has them on his site but durn if I remember who.

The closest one I have is from a 1978 onwards California car. See if this helps
