Hi all....just looked at a nice white LHD 1978 MGB ......it had black seats and head rest but brown biscuit door and kick panels and rear side and back panels.....also had black carpet on floor and tunnel but biscuit carpet in back on the wheel wells.......It looks very nice but is this original or were the seats originally biscuit or the other way round and everything black.....I'm just trying to decide if this is in any way original .....The engine has been converted to the dual SU also so there have been changes
Thanks

It **could** be original, but in 1978 the factory was not "improvising" on interiors as much as they were in 1980..it could have been changed out by the dealer to the original owner request...a previous owner could have swapped this out.

My Heritage certificate has my 1978 MGB with a different colour interior than was in it when I purchased the car....but I'm the seventh owner.

The colour of the interior would not be a deal-breaker to me.

My 73 had black trim and carpet and navy blue seats. BMIHT cert confirmed that's how is left Abingdon.
