My friend has a 1975 MGB convertible, with 56,000 miles no rust, the red paint is a little faded, it doesnt have the orig carbs. Everythings orig on this thing except the carbs. It runs great and its a blast to drive! I should get some pics but hes thinking of selling it and doesnt know if he should repaint it or give it a professional detailing to raise the selling price. I was going to say about $6000..what do you guys think?

The paint should come back with some compound, polish, then wax, plenty of elbow-grease or an orbital buffer. He should do that before looking to paint it. Red and blue are the worst colours for fading.

My insurance agent just totalled one just like it because of a Weber carb fire...car needs hood & miscellaneous underneath to put back like new...its a 79,000 original mile car...they had it appraised at $5300 value for replacement.
