Noticed leaking in calipers. I am going to rebuild my self. Hopefully they are straight forward like domestic calipers. Any tips or notes before I begin? Thanks
 
easy job, classic motorsports covered it in their Midget restoration project. I have the article scanned if you want it - just PM me your email address. The big difference between the magazine and all the manuals is that they split the calipers - makes the job WAY easier and Moss sells the washer to replace when reassembling the calipers. 180-285 (it's not included in the rebuild kit) other than that, it's easy - you can't be too clean though

I just rebuilt a pair of spridget calipers. It was straightforward job. Moss empatically says 'do not split the calipers' but I don't know why. I split mine which made replacing the o-rings and seals much easier. The only issue that I ran into was the metal seal retainer: it was very difficult to install without bending. I finally used a small file to remove the slight bur all around the leading edge of the ring to facilitate installation, then proceed to install it by placing a large socket on the seal retainer and tapping into its seat with a hammer.
