TR6 1973 TR6 Restoration - it’s a roller again!

Thought I’d post a few pics. Everything wearable replaced (bushings, bearings, etc.); one inch lower and stiffer springs, rear lever shocks rebuilt and re-valved for stiffer setup; adjustable front shocks (GAZ); new brakes all around; new copper brake lines; fixed slightly tweaked frame (right front shock tower); sanded and crack checked in all the suspect places; painted. Phew, I know I’m forgetting stuff, but it is nice to have it back on the ground. Now it’s on to the engine assembly.

It was on sawhorses for months. Thirty minutes after putting the wheels back on it, I was chasing threads and I put my box of taps and dies on the frame. The sawhorses gave way and the TR6 bounced down onto the ground, first the rear followed immediately by the front end. Nice and gently. Saved me having to hook up the hoist.

NICE Job! :arms:

Hope you found all the taps and dies. TR looks great.

Thanks for the comments. As I mentioned it’s time to move on to the engine. Yesterday I installed new valves and springs and Viton seals. The head has been milled with .14 shaved off for a compression boost and received new seats and guides. I like the seal kit from Goodparts. Today new rockers and rocker shaft.
