1971 MGB Wing or Fender removal.

1971 MGB
I have heard that you need to remove the windshield and maybe the dashboard to take off the front fenders is this true.
I hope not, I replaced the windshield a month ago, Man what a nightmare that was. I was told you haven't worked on a B until you've replaced a windshield , I really don't want to do it again so soon. Is it really necessary.
Any help much appreciated.

Yup. pillar goes right thru it. Sorry.

IMO it takes three clutch jobs on a B to equal one windshield R&R. :smirk:

Buttons, I'm sure you know Doc is right about replacing the windshield. But, you will be pulling the whole unit not just the glass and that's not such a night mare, well, maybe close. There are little tricks that make putting it back easier, but you learn those by experience. :jester:. That's not all, sometimes putting the fenders back on can give you fits making sure their in line with the doors and the grill. I just love giving out such good news so early in the morning! Makes my day! PJ
