I pour it in through one of the rubber boots - just stand the rack on end & pour....not much, way less than a quart, maybe a pint or so....90 weight as I remember.

Can't you fill it from the top cover byt the radiator? I'm having some trouble here myself. When I re-did the front end on my '74, I filled my rack as Tony described but over time it leaked through the front cover over the bearing. This past weekend, I took both covers off and cleaned then and their mating surfaces very thoroughly. Each shim was also spotless. I reassembled with a new gasket - no sealant, and it leaks. Should I have used a sealant on the front cover?

I've been through many color combinations from red, to silver, to blue but I've now decided to make the car all black. Black interior, black body, superlite wheels with the spokes painted black. I may do some ghosted racing strips down the bonnet and trunk deck (maybe).
Even if I did another color I was going to paint the engine compartment the matte black that you see now. I figured that with the newly rebuilt and painted engine being the MG red that it would really pop when placed in the all black engine bay.

But a red MG with a black hood area spells bad news to most MG afficionadas...US muscle cars do that - British cars don't....I think a black hood area on a different color car takes away from the overall affect - IMO.

I agree Tony. It's more of a timing and money issue. Since I'm doing this rebuild in my garage and I don't have easy access to a trailer to haul the car around and my paint budget for the car is limited (ie. wife doesn't want me to spend $5K on painting) I figured I'd get the car all assembled in my garage first and paint the car as my last project.
But since I've now decided to paint the car black there isn't a issue with the engine bay not matching the body color. Now I've just got to find a good quality paint shop that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for painting.

Agree with that completely, Kev...wives & $$$'s usually determine our directions! & black, though the hardest of all colors, really looks good on an MGB.
