TR6 1971 clutch and rear oil seal

My 71 TR6 needs a rear main oil seal and a new clutch. I believe I can make both repairs without taking the motor out, just pull the trans. That should give me access to the oil seal and clutch. However, it might be easier to pull the motor with the trans still attached. That way, I don't need to take the interior apart to get the trans out through the passenger compartment. Any thoughts???? I don't know ,Bob, maybe it's just me, but that falls into a "no brainer" category.. I'd just remove the tranny.
It's going to be tight quarters getting that rear cover off the engine, but to me that's going to be the worse of it.

I have done it both ways. The last time I pulled out the seats and removed the trans. The difficult part was reinstalling the
trans. I had a hard time getting the input shaft to slide into place.
