1970 MGB project restarting.

Hello,

I'm Chris and began modifying the body of my 1970 MGB in 1979. Back then I don't think Seibring kits were available so I hand made the flares out of steel with a tubing frame (edge). I have 2 Buick & 2 Oldsmobile 215/218 engines to pick parts from to build an engine with and a T-5 transmission for it. I removed the original engine ready to begin the transformation then got married and moved from Napa CA to Hermiston OR and the car ended up sitting at my parents house for 20 years. Now divorced, and retired early due to a disability I'm moving back to Napa and am going to pick back up working on the car. I'm glad to see that so many people have posted engineering suggestions for the modification I dreamed of and with the amount of information now available it'll finishing the car will be much easier.
If there were a way to post pictures to this forum I'd include a picture of it, which is kind of rough from some minor wrecks from sliding out while road racing.

Welcome - & I thought I had the record for the longest ongoing MGB project car!

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! You can post pictures. I'm not good at it, but someone will be along to help you figure it out.

Hello Chris,

Sounds like your in for alot of fun!

"Pictures" are easy; I think?

Hit the "Reply" tab / Click on the "File Manager" at the lower LH corner at the bottom of your post / "Browse" to locate the pic / Then "Add" your picture.

I believe I may be right but I also may be wrong??????

Best Wishes,

Russ
