Anyone know of this car? Sorry I don't have the link but it's on ebaymotors. I'd like to contact the owner privately. Thanks,

Excellent price. I keep the Marcos Registry for north America and we have about 60+ currently. This car was unknown to me. Happens once in a while........

On the topic of your registry Don... I assume you're aware of the gaggle of Marcos' in southern Ontario, including this rather interesting left-hand-drive Mantis...

I believe there are at least six Marcos' in southern Ontario, from discussions I recall having with the owner of the above car.

Yes, thank you. I list 17 total in Canada with 8 in Ontario. The Mantis is Ron McLeods. He bought it new in the UK and has sent it back once for refurbishment. Powered by a TR-6 engine/tranny. Only 32 were made.

I've met Ron before (back when I lived in Ontario for awhile) and had some nice chats with him, fantastic guy!

A friend of mine out here was seriously considering buying this car. I talked him out of it, specifically because he wanted it as a daily driver. He's a rather tall guy (6'2" ish) and he gets in and out of his car at least 20 times per day.

I felt that while it's such a pretty car, and would stop people dead in their tracks (and he was planning on adding his business name to the windows) the car would be seriously painful with so much ingress/egress.

Sherlock....That is British car day isn't it??? I also recognise the silver car beside it....I think it's some kind of kit-car I see it show up a our local cruises.
