1969 Piper GTT - Ever seen one?

I have a picture of myself kneeling next to one, taken in London in 1970(?), very low, and light so a good performer in the Lotus vein.
Simon.

You'd have to kneel at 39" high. That's 2" lower than my 1971 Marcos (41" high). Only problem I can see with the car is that the windows don't roll down, pop out or nothin' !! You're just sort of in there..........

Heard about the Piper sports cars before, there have been a number of articles about them in the British magazines over the years.

As I recall it had a rather interesting history and that few were made.

150 Pipers were made...they had Triumph Herald front suspensions with Ford live rear axles.

You can basically sum them up as a factory-built kit car.

I like the looks of the car from the 'firewall' forward, but man, that cockpit and rear look awful.

Eh, I don't know I don't think its that bad. I think they could have made the cab and rear of it a little sleeker, and flow a little nicer.
