Hello MG members
I'm seeking some opinions for you forum members to help establish a fair selling price for a 1969 MGB that belongs to a friend of mine. I'd like to get your educated guesses on what you think is an honest asking price for the car based on the description below. Any thoughts and comments are welcome. I look forward to your responses.
Here is the info to help you formulate your estimates.
The car has been sitting stored in a dry garage (California home) for about 10 years. I've been told that the car ran when it was stored– I know, that's what they all say – and should run now with some minor work. It is in pretty good shape as far as I can tell, good body, no rust California car, needs some mechanical work, nothing major. In my opinion, a little elbow grease and a few hydraulic fixes will get it back on the road again.
There hasn't been a purchase price set for the car as my friend has no idea of what would be a fair price. And truthfully he just wants to make his parents happy and get the car out of their garage. I have given my estimated sales price but would like some additional knowledgable B owners thoughts as well. What are your best estimates for a fair asking price based on the photos and description on the following website I've setup: 1969 MGB For Sale
Please take a look, offer your thoughts or if you have any interest in a small project, use the contact link on the webpage to make an offer.
If you don't need yet another project please feel free to offer your opinion as to what would be a fair price.
Please let me know and I'll forward that information onto my friend.
Thanks for any assistance.
Kevin
