1967 Triumph

I own a 1967 Triumph GT6 with 59,000 miles. I've owned the car for 37 years and kept it garaged for the past 35 years. It has not been drived regularly and needs some mechanical and cosmetic work. There is very little rust. I live in Memphis, TN and would like to find a good shop to get it cleaned up and back in good running condition. Looking for a recommendation for restoration - will trailer the car to get the right shop. Thanks in advance.

First of all, welcome to the asylum!

Sorry I can't help with a shop recommendation, but I encourage you to ask about overall costs, and make a decision as to whether you are looking for just "good running condition" or "restored". There is a huge difference in cost between those two, and a professional "restoration" will likely cost you more than the car is worth, even after it is restored.

I'm sure there will be some folks along soon from your area with specific shop recommendations.

Hello, and welcome to the Forum. I'm certain there will be some good suggestions coming along shortly! :savewave:

Welcome ;
to you and your GT6......

Hi There 67gt6,

1st. "Welcome" to the BCF. "THEE" best LBC Forum anywhere.

I`m not sure how far "Memphis" is from "Pickens, SC" 29671 but If you mapquest the distance & It meets your driving criteria; Let me know & I can hook you up with a gent who is currently doing the body & paint work on my TR3. He owns (Orig Owner) a `66TR4A & Has restored a GT6 (Sold Now) for Himself.

Best Wishes,

Russ
