1966 Sprite dashboard

New to the sprite world and was wondering what the factory color and/or type of finish of a '66 sprite dashboard would be?

I'm not 100% positive, but almost all pictures I have seen show a black wrinkle finish. My '67 (which has the same dash panel as your '66) had an old gloss black finish when I got it, but I just replaced it with a dash which I restored with the wrinkle finish. Original or not, it looks 100 times better!

Black wrinkle finish was the factory finish.
You can do this yourself very easily.
Strip whatever is on the dash with paint stripper down to bare metal.
DO NOT prime. Pick up a can or 2 of wrinkle paint from any auto store, follow the instructions to the letter.
The secret to a good wrinkle job is to paint the dash 3 coats in the garage and move it out into the direct sunlight on a nice hot sunny day.
The sun will make it wrinkle evenly. Heat guns will not wrinkle it evenly. And sticking it the kitchen oven is fine if you are single (or want to be)
