Certainly could be a '65 -- I can't see the rear deck closely enough to see if it has the detachable hood bits, but that's what it looks like from here.

The wheel arches could have been cut and modified, or later quarters used. They've got flares on both front and rear, so some work has been done.

If done well it wouldn't be all that bad, really.

It looks nice, but if it's a 1965 Sprite then it's a MK III.
So - definitely customized, definitely not a MK2.
Otherwise I like it.

I always get the MKs confused between the Sprite and Midgets...

NO SALT on the roads in Winter is one big reason cars survive longer, which makes for a better selection.

I'm going to say it is a MKIII since it has roll up windows, but they have added a lot from future cars to it. I like the flared wheel wells.
