the car below just came up for sale in Tennessee.
It's a driver. 3.8 engine. The MK-10 is the XJ-6 with the air let out. It's a giant car, as big as a 1964 Impala. Seller claims original Coventry Blue paint with touched up areas, original blue interior re-dyed black.

Seems to me the tranny should have overdrive but nothing is mentioned about it. Maybe the owner does not know it's there, or there isn't one.

The Mark 10 is a BOAT! How much do they want for it? Scrap steel prices are high at the moment!

6K seems a bit steep to me. It's hard to tell from the small photo. The interior appears to be just ok, but the paint looks bad. A nice paint job is gonna run an easy 3K-???K. Then how's the rest of the car? These are awfully expensive to restore and are usually better deals bought in a condition that's "finished" or easily finishable. I personally would own an S first and a MK 10 last, but that's my opinion of the big whale.

How about buying a beater MK-10 and turning it into a DRAG STRIP car. You'd surely turn heads with that one. What better way for an old useless blvd cruiser to spend it's last days prior to meeting a crusher?
