1963 Sprite MkII Seats

I am having a bit of an argument with a upholstery person about the design of these seats. Can anyone who has the Moss vinyl seats for the mk2 sprite 1098cc from HAN724732- tell me if on the seat back there is piping across the middle where it was originally stitched? I have a original set which has no piping just stitching. This person is trying to tell me they come with piping in that area. I have never seen this but maybe they changed it??
Thanks Mike

Mike,

My 65 Mark III has the last production run style of seat from the Mark II and the center is only stiched no piping. Looking in the Horler book they show the version before my seat the same and it also does not have that center tuck at all. They also show a HAN 6 seat which must be one earlier yet with only piping along the outside edge of the seat. I would say no to your original question.

Yer prob'ly walking somewhat of a fine line, Mike
Might I suggest that you get your Moss Cat out and with YOUR V.I.N. in hand, figure it out.
Looks to me like the prob IS VIN related

Also, do not even waste your & his time with out using NEW foams!! :wall: Seats will NEVER "look" right nor would they "sit" right!!
