Worth looking at: a newly-listed Big Healey on "Bring a Trailer", a concours-quality '62 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk II BN7 Tri-Carb.
The photos & posted comments say it all, & attest to a Gold-level, genuinely concours-grade restoration. Here's a sample comment from someone who is obviously knowledgeable :
"This is what a concours quality car looks like. It’s the 1% details that you don’t typically see. The brass heater pipe painted engine color instead of polished, the rubber heater hose between the engine vent tube and cylinder head cover painted engine color, the red stripe on the hood spring, the radiator fan guard painted red with a brush, correct hose clips, painted 60 spoke wire wheels, etc, etc. All of that attention to detail tells me that they really cared about the restoration of this very worthy car, and by assumption cut no corners. Really stunning."
