With the 24 Hours of LeMans coming up next week, I thoought you guys might be interested in this video by Standard-Triumph of the '61 24 Hours of LeMans featuring the three Triumph TRS's with the 2-liter DOHC "Sabrina" engines named after a well endowed British model of the time. Also notice the twin dual choke SU carberetters...a real rarity.

Racing sure was different then today. So much more casual...

fun! and way more interesting to me than any contemporary version of said race

Certainly a different era... thanks for posting it.

Back in 2003 one of the Triumph TRS's was at Mosport Raceway for the VARAC vintage racing meet, if I recall correctly it was from the collection of The Roadster Factory (Pennsylvania), they didn't vintage race it that weekend but it was hanging around the paddock... One of the pictures I took... Definitely a neat car...

That car is in line for a restoration in the next year or so. One of it's sisters should be finished with the restoration process in about a year.

You've seen the car... it would be unfair to ignore the engine's namesake (kept tastefully in thumbnail to allow for a choice)...
