What years did the Elans (not the coupe of course or hardtop or whatever we are supposed to call them) not have the permanent up position side window frames?
1962 through 1966. The type 26 Elan (aka Series 1 and series 2) had the slide up/down windows. Later cars had electric windows with the frames & were "type 36" Elans.
