Shortly after I purchased this 1960 Triumph TR3A I drove it to the ER to see a patient. The problem was, I did not want to go inside. I wanted to keep staring at it. Love this little roadster.

Looks like my first British car. Used to pick up my daughter from High School with the car. Kids all stared at it as we drive away. Still have a TR3 and love to drive it.

Hi Jerry, that's great. Is there a pic of your TR3 anywhere in this forum?

It is a little bright! The exact color does not come out in pictures of lower definition.
John, we have to talk about nuc school! At the Tahoe meet. Jerry

Gorgeous Gerry! Is that an original colour?

That is gorgeous! Love the color combination. I need to learn how to fold my tonneau cover like that. Is it a full tonneau wrapped up? Or is that a partial cover for the bars only?

Not an original color to TR3s. Similar to a TR6 color. But the color choice really came about because my wife wanted RED and I wanted Yellow. So I went to the paint store and went through their book till a compromise color was found. This color/car gets more looks than any other car I have owned. The hoodstick cover just covers the bars. It is a copy of a commercial cover , but made from the same material as the interior.
We are taking this car on a club event tomorrow. Tomorrows event is called Switcharoo. IE: you trade cars at stop points so you drive someone elses car for awhile. It is a lot of fun and you get to drive cars you have never had the chance before.

Sounds like fun.

My first was school bus yellow, but with a shine. Not far off from Jerry's. BRG on my current one was Mrs. Bob's choice, but I like it.

Hi Jerry, this might now be useful as a new Post, but I want to ask about your interior. It is very well done. I like that you removed the metal holders for the curtains. I want to do the same with my door liners. I also want to replace my outer trim to white color. Did you use John Skinner mail order, or a local auto upholstery shop?

The upholstery kit was made by a guy in the midwest who sold his kits on ebay. He owned a TR3 also. Two people in our club have bought from him. I think my "kit" was better. I don't know if he is still selling these. His name was talltree or something like that. He sent me to two web sites to pick out the leather and vinyl. The piping is the only part that is vinyl on the interior. All other parts are leather. And it feels nice. Much nicer than the Moss kit I have in the Healey. John Skinner will let you custom pick the colors. We used Skinner for the Healey we just sold. Very good kit. Long wait time for the order. I have never used the side curtains on this car and did not want to be bumping my elbow on the holders.
