Is the windshield frame on a 1960 TR 3A made from aluminum and is it supposed to be chrome planted? Thanks and have a good day!

I don't know, just always assumed that the aluminum frames were a weight-saving option, like the aluminum oil pan & aluminum brake drums.
Those are the pegs for the aluminum frame, then. I'm glad you're not going to try to chrome it, since it is a rare part and would have been just polished originally. The tenex fasteners are two part brass. On the inside of the frame the fastners look exactly like a flat head screw. On the outside of the frame the fastener has a thin hex nut with the tenex stud part threaded and it screws thru the windshield frame. My car is number 69859.
