It does have a sorta West Coast look.
I bought it from Cali. Cali car it's whole life.
Front bumper and fog/driving lights, the rear Amco
bumper thing, the Talbot mirrors and the 15 inch "dubs"
spin ons do give it a different look.
It's still all British just stylin' and profilin'
a little differently.
In that vein I added an Aston flip gas filler today.
It needs a paint job and it will probably get one late this summer. It was last painted in 1993.
It's no garage queen though. The engine screams and I
live near some incredible mountain climb roads. I've already
logged more miles on it than it's had in decades.
LOL...I've now worn the nibs off the tires.

What do you have mounted in front of the mirrors, turn signals?

They are little turn signal indicators. Clear
glass lenses but with amber bulbs. Prior owner
installed them.

nice, did you convert to discs?

Pat
Front discs. Tube shocks at all fours and lowered.
Different springs and coils.
Again, the prior owner did all this stuff.
Guy didn't leave me much to do. Not that I'm complaining.;)
All new wiring harness too.

Thanks. I'm hoping to get it repainted this summer.

Very nice.....I like the stipes. and the amco bars on the back. Makes me want a frog.

Thanks. I've added an Aston filler to the rear since those photos for some more pizazz. :cooler:
I really like those TRs. I just saw a show on HDTV featuring a TR4a. Really nice.
Edit: I just noticed that episode of Classic Car Club is coming on this Sunday morning at 11:30 am.

Now with a 4.22 diff, stub stack on the HIF6 and a
new CD player.

did you pick this car up off ebay? I seem to remember one just like it on there a while back that was on 15 inch wheels. Got a bit rich for my blood thanks to that 1380. I know what they cost to build. :yesnod:
Nice looking car. That blue always looked good on bugeye's

I bought it off e-bay last year. It replaced my old Sprite
I sold 35+ years ago to pay for my first year of law school. I dang near cried when the first guy to look at my
old Sprite bought it and never even haggled the price.
:cryin:
The wife wanted a VW convertible. I reminded her of my sacrifice those many years ago.
She "let" me buy it. Yeah...my wife is a keeper.
Helps that I bought her a 1971 restored MGB after she
found the BE a little tough for her to drive and enjoy.
She wanted luxury items. Roll up windows, door handles, a fold away top, "real" trunk and a synchronized first gear.
Women!
It was a little pricey but still under what is current values. I wouldn't sell it for the same price I paid.
In fact I've turned down a nice offer that would have been a nice profit.
I won the bidding by one cent over the next bidder at the last second.
I was in a seminar for Trial Lawyers in Atl Ga. at the Ritz Carlton. My blackberry came through for me during a lecture. It was hard not to shout for joy when I won.
When we took a break I went to the room and showed the wife what we just bought.
We jumped up and down on the bed like two kids!
It's been a blast to drive.
Shoot I built the BE and B their own garage. The Buggy Barn.
Gawd I love this Sprite!

I bought it for a fun "driver".
It is NOT a show car. It's noisy gears and loud exhaust.
Hitting the skinny pedal at about 5k is a HOOT and the
lumpy idle is a hit a stop lights.
Just more fun than a barrel of monkeys and I live just minutes from a wide variety of twisties.
Hap was gracious enough to get some guys time at a track.
Driving it around a track was....nirvana.

Oh yeah....I'm having fun with it.
:driving:

Now with twin HS4s with a Maniflow intake.
Woo Pow!
