Hello all! I'm one of the newest members. Glad to be here!

I am in the midst of a 16 year restoration of my 60 BN7. Yes it's a long story, so I won't bore you with the details just yet. One of the things that I have found to be very helpful are photos of other cars of the same genre. I took this car apart 16 years ago, so getting back together correctly has been challenging to say the least. I wonder if it would be helpful to the group if I started a thread where a photo of a given section of a car could be requested and then posted by someone who has a completed car. For example: I'm working on installing the fuel system from the gas tank forward. But I'm not sure how the lines are to be run. I'm looking for photos from under the vehicle and in the engine compartment that show the detail of how the lines are correctly run. Can anyone help. I have been very careful about keeping the car "Correct" and would be glad to help anyone else in a similar situation.

Yes I think that would be helpful, might be an add on to the WIKI on this forum. However. The late Norman Knock made similar photos available covering a variety of car models.--Keoke
 
Welcome Matt,
I too have a 1960 BN7. It has much original, especially underneath. I'd be happy to photo and post areas that you need. I'm not a purist, so have modified some things to suit me, but I know what is original and what is not.
I'll try to get some photos of the fuel lines. I have a non-stock fuel pump and may have modified some of the rubber hoses to connect that in, but the steel lines are original.

As for the pictures, I can use someone having my back, and besides, there's not an original pipe left in my car :wink:
 
Hi Matt, I too restored a '60 BN7. But it only took me 12 years, I guess I just work faster. Just kidding. I have lots of photos of the restoration along the way. There's really too many show here, but I could copy them onto a CD and mail it to you if you want. You can send me a email with your mailing address.
 
Hello Matt, I have two Healeys in the same condition as you are discribing. My first is a 60 BN7and the second is a 59 BN6. Both have been in the "basket" condition for over 35 years. I had the BN7 while serving in the Navy back in the early 70s and the BN6 belonged to an uncle. I started the "restoration" for lack of a better term with my Dad after I got out of the Navy, got married, dad passed and now I'm getting into the long story that you were referring to. Regardless, the cars sit in a barn protected from weather and screaming to be rebuilt before I'm too old to enjoy. Not to sure how to get started on the project, but would like to communicate with you to get motavated to get off dead center. Keep us posted on your efforts and by all means, if you have pictures somewhere, let us know. Thanks, Magyar
