I saw this in a field and it did not seem too bad but needs a complete restoration. What can these numbers tell me about the car.
Car#IE75046BW
Body#4E50064
Engine#7E50090-9
Automatic Transmission #EJ10161 (it has a manual I think)
Exaust#006
IR 25775 (this was on the drivers side front window post)
Someone told me it is a 1968 XKE but I am not sure.
OD reads 25K and the body is fairly sound. I have more pictures top follow. What would its worth be?

The VIN and engine # indicate that it is a series 1 4.2 E-type 2+2 automatic. Probably a late 1966 or 1967. It should have triple carbs and covered headlights. But the pic looks like a 1970 FHC.

The 1R25775 on the window post indicates that it's a '69 series 2 coupe (not a 2+2) and the photo, though small, looks like that's what it is.

The other numbers, that you probably got from a number plate, are for a '66 series 1 2+2 with automatic trans. A very different car.

If you buy it, make sure the title has the 1R25775 number on it (unless it's parts car cheap). Sometimes cars with lost titles would "adopt" the paperwork of a car that was parted out and scrapped.

Phil.
