TR2/3/3A 1959 tr-3a windshield

I have read the excellent post on windshield assemble - I have one concern - I should have re-chromed the windshield frame previously - but we know how that goes - anyway, my original glass is 0.285 thick - all of the replacement glass appears to run closer to 0.250 - is this 0.285 typical for original equipment - I assume I just use thicker tape - midnight

Apparently so. I just checked what I believe to be the original glass in TS13571L and it's .290"

I suspect that explains why so many sources supply thicker "tape".

I just used black cloth tape when I replaced mine and then trimmed off the excess after I installed the glass. You may have to put more than one layer of tape to get a good seal. Good luck.
