Brave indeed! Funny, I never noticed the resemblance to a gullwing benz till seeing this one with door missing.

That's an interesting project... but finding a door would be a major challenge on top of all the other minor work needed.... ;-)

The last photo shows the missing door. Am I reading this right, the buyer pays 20% above and beyond the selling price, + VAT??? And then has one day to get it off their lot or be charged 50 lbs a day storage?? PJ

Wow! Looks like it was stored at the bottom of a pond for a decade or three. Probably if they presurred washed the exterior it would look less dire. Still a massive undertaking.

In that last photo it shows the missing door so bid away with confidence!

You know I always thought those cars were pretty cool, however I learned the six is basically the 4 cylinder I had in my 100 with two more cylinders (actually I think the development was the reverse, the Healey (Austin) 4 was the 6 with two cylinders lopped off. Anyway, the thing must weigh half a ton or so, literally, so might be a bit of a truck to drive, but still kind of a cool unique vehicle. But yeah, the one shown looks like a little bit more than I am ready to take on right now to make right.

A post from the Jensen Owners Club website/forum about the condition of the car by someone who inspected it:

I went to view the car today as I was passing the area the condition in my view is as follows:
Chassis requires major work/ new chassis due to missing door and poor sealing to door and windows etc
Interior is in poor condition, although most of it is there
Calipers are completely shot all round
Paint is peeling of back to original gel coat all over
Near side door is with the car but in very poor state, not fitted due to corrosion
Engine bay partially stripped although it look like most parts are in the boot
Bumpers are there front and back although very rusty
Some light lenses missing(wing top near side and interior)
In short mostly complete but a total ground up restoration

I am going to guess that it goes for somewhere in the neighborhood of $6000 - $7000 USD

just for the record... the bid amount guess is mine, not the person who inspected the car... !
