I posted this twice due to the situation and how soon the car will be crushed...

1957 Wolseley 15/50

To be crushed on Monday unless someone purchases it (I got this message via a mail group I subscribe to)

This car was posted to CL and I asked the owner a few questions in an email. His reply stated that the car was complete, pink slip etc, and that he was having it crushed Monday the 4th. I asked him to relent and here is his reply:

the car is at J T B Automotive in Warm Springs area in Fremont (California). The address is 44250 Old Warm Springs Blvd. Look at the car and make offer. one way or the other it's going Monday. they are open Saturday and closed Sunday.

I don't know if any of you folks want to be bothered, but that's the story.

A bit far for me. Too bad he won't give it away rather than crush it. That just isn't right. It's like in the movies when the villian says, "If I can't have the ultimate superweapon then noone can!" and then tries to destroy it.

Timing is just bad Scherlock have house guests for the holiday and can't get away, dog gone it.---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

I didn't hear about it until Sunday night getting back from vacation. I still e-mailed the guy, and he seems to be a jerk of the first water. Fired back a terse little e-mail about it being a thousand and already having turned down 500. No pictures, just that it is rust-free. If it is running, it might be possible to buy it off the scrapyard. I can't see this guy going far, so it would have to be a local one.

I've been reading through some of the correspondance Arcane Autos Society has had with the owner, he sounds like a real "winner"

Anyway, if the car is even still around... I have access to some pictures of it (hidden from your view inside a Yahoogroups group)

Said car has been rescued by a much nicer person, and has been put up for sale again but not as an emergency sale...

It will need work and the asking price is $1,000, I have a long description of the condition of the car, I can pass along the e-mail to anyone along with pictures.
