MGA 1957 MGA dash

A friend just got a very original 1957 MGA. Everything looks in place except there is a slightly recessed hole on the very far left side of the dash board. Anyone have any idea what should be there?

Picture attached.
Thanks

Bruce

Bruce,

If it is to the left and above the turn signal switch... and the car is LHD then 'tis the turn signal indicator lamp....

Ron - I attached a picture. Hole is as far to the left of the dash as possible.

Not sure if you noticed yet but someone ran off with your car body.

Bruce,

Yeah, a couple of saw horses abscounded with the body.... Check my avatar picture for the status of the ol' body...

I didn't see the attached picture.

Here is an attached photo of the suspected area..

Yup, definatly the turn signal indicator lamp....They came in a few different styles of lens, but all the same size and location.

Thanks everyone. Doubt there is anywhere one could get a faster answer!!
