1957 Berkley on ebay

Offline
Sure wish I had the $2200 the guy's asking. Looks like it's in pretty decent shape. Has the early headlight pods (even though I like the inset lights better.)

Kenny, Kenny, that 2,200 would be a small down payment on the total to have a nice, running car. Coldplugs will have better knowledge than I, but that seems like waaaaaaaaaay to much $$ for condition. IMHO anyway.

I would think 1,200 to 1,500 would be a more realistic price for the condition, seeing how there's a possibility of missing parts which might not be the easiest to obtain. Believe it or not, I almost bought a new one in Kansas City, MO. in 1958. I think it was around a 1,000 bucks. Not sure on the price. It was just to darn small!

That's WHY I like 'em. And I've paid more for car's that never did run.

I'd likely modify it with a modern motorcycle engine anyway.

The boss's policy re eBay prevents me from saying what I think about the price. The car looks complete & obviously needs a lot of work. Not a project for the faint of heart.

I am flattered that the page shown in the loose-leaf binder in the eBay ad is a printout from my website.

Those early headlight pods look a little odd, but they're pretty hard to find. One of the more successful early racers on the west coast took the pods off his car and used one, turned backwards, as a headrest.
