1955 XK140 auto choke "otter" switch

My XK's previous owner installed an auxiliary switch to manually control the auto choke that is mounted on the intake manifold and I am considering going back original by removing the manual switch. I found a NOS auto choke unit thinking the original unit was defective(hence the reason for the manual switch) and was looking for advice on the subject......any thoughts??

Also, there is an adjustment screw at the bottom of the NOS "otter" switch solenoid. The screw is mounted in what looks like a strap that runs below the solenoid....and I assume that adjusts when the unit shuts off....again...looking for advice on this as well.....

Most conversions were done because the valves usually were on longer than most drivers wanted and were sometimes not working because of corrosion from anti freeze, oil and water. I see a lot at shows with the manual switch. I believe the screw is for cold start enrichment adjust. If no one comes on before I get to look it up I will get back to you. Might be a couple days. My Dad left it on our 57 MC Coupe and we never had a problem with it, probably because it was driven as a 2nd car and never sat too long.
