If someone is looking for a 120 to restore, there is one on St. Louis,Mo craigslist. E-mailed and price is 18K. Too rich for me, especially a basket case. Has been stripped per pictures and seems to have rust in usual places.
He was upset that I thought the basket case wasn't worth 18K. Been working on them for 49 yrs. and actually saw lots of missing parts and did not say he had them. Not posted now, hopefully he got what he wanted. But we all know by the time it is completed it will cost more at auction than any of us will want to spend. Couldn't be much room on that one. Would need a left side headlight and fender redone. Notice you're from Florence. We come down 65 about twice a year to go to sister-in-laws in Fort Walton Beach.
Larry,
Sold a project 140 rdster this summer, wish I haven't now. I'm about 40 miles from I65, we use to go to Ft Walton a couple times a year but found a quieter place place we like better.
I know what you mean about selling the project. I had a 54 120 rdstr back in the early 70s. Bought it for $200 and tried to work on it for a couple years. Because I was renting and shared 1/2 of an open 2 car garage, needed room and sold it for $750. Then I bought the MK1 pictured in avatar for $400, rebuilt motor and have not finished yet.
