Need a photo of how the door bottom rubber is installed

I will need that eventually too. I remember my first source years ago told me they just don't work. Just maybe a couple of years ago, I got a set from Small Ford but can't see any way to attach them.

I will send you a pic later today

This pic shows the frame and the location of holes drilled at the factory on the underside of gasket is a lip that goes against the frame.

Thanks for the pic Jim. So do I understand right the rubber is attached to the frame instead of the door? Is it glued to the frame or what holds it.

If you look at the frame the very top you will see a line of holes it is screwed on the under side of the gasket is a lip and that goes against the frame. the door goes against the gasket.

Here you go hope you can figure it out I am a truck driver not an educator

Wow! Educator or not, I think you have done a quite creditable job of educating there. I have the rubbers put away but even without seeing them directly, I think I understand now. Thanks again.

Hey Jim, how are you progressing on your Prefect? How about some more photos?

Hello,
All the painting is done, have to put the front fenders, hood, and grille on (found a really nice grille in England)old grille would have worked although I did not want to mess with it and found a nice hood latch.
All the glass is in just need to do some tweaking
Have to make a couple of new wooden bows then put the top canvas on and the headliner.
Have to cut new door panels and kick panels, I bought the boards at > Restricted Access <
My son James has to weld in the new rear shock mounts (tubular, have the fronts done).
The radiator needs to go in and we hope it will not leak, took it to a radiator shop to get the tanks re-soldered, and also the mice nesting burned that stuff out so we had to flush out the radiator. Bought a water pump 12V and holding off to see if it needs the pump. Also, bought a tiny alternator that will mount where the gen sat. Oh and the engine runs so that is where the Bean Fart is.
Jim

Thanks for the update. "Engine runs" is good news. Keep us posted on your progress.

Doug, I talked with him a year or so ago and his web site is still online as of just now.
