1949 - 1952 Ford Prefect

I am looking for a 49 - 52 Ford Prefect for full restoration.

If anyone has one for sale, or knows of anyone who has one they might be willing to give up, I would appreciate hearing about it.

I am not up to fixing up a complete basket case, so the car would have to be in reasonable shape for restoration.

I just completed a restoration on a 76 MG Midget, and am looking for my next project.

For anyone who cares, I picked this car because it was the first car I ever owned in 1957..... sentimental value, etc.

Thanks
Al

Ask Aurther Dent or Zaphod Beeblebrox. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif
hehehe. Sorry, I coulden't help it.
I'd love to get one myself, but they seem to be tricky to locate

If anyone cares, I found the car I was looking for and its on its way to me from Ontario.... the car is more restored than I would have liked but its a beaut.... 23,000 original miles and a rebuit engine with 1,000 miles on it.....lots of cosmetice work to do.... I have attached a couple of photos of her... her name is Annabelle...

Kinda looks like a London taxi! Way to go!

Yes the trafficators are there and they work (sort of). I was really glad to see that the 51 still had them.

This car is much more finicky to drive than my MG Midget is so I will have to be careful to switch to Prefect mode when I drive her.

Also, her electrics are 6V Positive Ground so I will have to stop and think about this when I work on her.

I am very pleased with this car and am looking forward to having her here. Thanks for the comments.

Congrats! I wonder if it's one I ever saw when I lived in Ontario, I was active in the British Saloon Car Club of Canada when out there
