Being a nut on "how the old ones worked" I got excited when I saw this come up on ebay.

But seeing what's been "changed", I'm thinking "jeez - how sad" - who would want it in its present condition ...

Yeah the more I see stuff like this, the more I like unmolested cars.

This one hasn't been hacked brutally and it would be possible (with a fair amount of work and money) to put it back the proper way. But it would probably be smarter to just look for an unmolested version.

The Buy-It-Now price doesn't seem outragous but I'd much rather have your old Benz. Not a fan of these old boats, even in correct form.
