1938 Wolseley

I have to watch it to see how high it gets. I wish the seller had been a little more specific about condition and degree/time of restoration. Maybe I'll print a dozen copies of the listing and leave them around the house for the next 5 days and 19 hours to see if dawifey gets the hint. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Ok, that thing is awesome! I'd buy it in a heartbeat if many things in the world were different, like parking space at my house and the size of my bank account for starters.

I've certainly never seen sideways SU carbs!!!

Downsuck SUs? They were relatively common once. In fact, pre-war cars had all manner of downdraught carbs, thinking about it. SUs back then were used mainly on Nuffield Group cars - Morris, Wolseley, MG.
I had an uncle with a Wolseley like that. Nostalgia!

Ended at $10,420 and reserve not met.

$10K? Reserve not met? Wow!

An old Wolseley probably isn't worth even that much, no matter how nice it is, at least in my opinion... not that I claim to be an expert either...
