1934 MG on ebay?

Get me the serial number and I can check for you, it should be 4 digits (ex 0300)and if possible the reg # from the UK.

That one's gonna go 5 figures easily!

The MG club had a great show in KC this early summer and the highlight of the show were 4 or 5 prewar MG's. They are neat. I wish that the engine photos were from the other side. There is a option water pump on some of these driven by the same gear that drives the generator.

Unless it's a steal, you don't want to buy a car like that without a personal inspection anyway. And you will want an expert on early MGs with you. There are far too many things that can be wrong with the car, or incorrect parts. For example, MGA carbs are a popular "upgrade" but to a collector this will greatly lower the value.

I don't care what's wrong, I want it. sigh.

Wife says watch that one, she has a trailer. ROAD TRIP. lol

Yea, I know where there is one in NY.

9 days till close of auction. Hmm...I'm heading up there in 9 days. Maybe I'll bring a bag of 20's.

Pre-war MGs are delightful little cars. A friend of the family owned a TA factory hillclimber (one of the "Cream Crackers" cars), and it was just a great machine. I think the standard pre-war Ps and Ts are generally reasonably priced. The real action is in the J-series cars, anything with a supercharger, and the absolutely fantastic Tickford-boddied cars. I'd love a Tickford.

I love those MGs too. My father had a PB Airline Coupe with q-type mods and a blower. That was quick!
The 6-cylinder Ks and Ls are also very, very nice. My unattainable dream many years ago was a pointed-tail K3 that I used to see quite frequently at club race meetings in England. Dream on!

This J2 is responsible for my love for MGs. Growing up, my best friends dad had it and went on many a ride. Never restored, just maintained and driven. His dad died and it went elsewhere, but he tracked it down a few months ago, still being driven.

I first saw one like that several years ago when I lived in Grand Rapids. I was behind it in traffic. It was there for thr big doings that John Twist puts on. In fact, that whole party is what first turned me on to MGs. There was a Hilton near where I lived where many participants stayed...I wandered over to the lot, oggled the cars and fell in love with a marque.
