Three ladies competed in M.G.s in the 1934 British Relay Race at Brooklands, a Miss Schwedler, Doreen Evans who was about 17 years old at the time and Margaret Allen whose surname appears on the back of this clock owing to the fact that their team came in third, which was a tremendous achievement. They were apparently awarded the Morgan Trophy and they were also each given a rather nice 8 Day art deco clock - this is Miss Allen's. cont'd"
