190 - 195 normal temp OK ??

I have a friend who says my car is running hot. Always been @ 190 / 195 during normal operation. OK or too hot?

Forget what thermostat I have - gotta assume it's the 180. Assuming it is -- is the 10 - 15 degree normal? Bad stat?

Oil cooler (new) is in front of the radiator (new; speciality shop - not Moss). Water pump is from Winners Circle - so I'm sure they got me a good quality one (ie racers usually use it - all metal construction).

I have < 10k on it and it runs fine. Just get paranoid on frying the engine.

Have you checked the accuracy of the temperature gauge? 190 is not bad and 195 is normal for me if it is a hot day and I'm pressing the engine hard.

you can live with those numbers. I would suggest that the temp guage is off.
