The '73 GT I just got came with all of original paperwork from when it was sold on 12/14/72 in Ft Lauderdale Fla. The Passport to service book that was still in the glove box lists the engine as an 18V. I'm not concerned about whether or not the engine is original but in what car or years was the 18GK used.

The rest of the engine # is not legible but the side of the engine says MOWOG and 1800. On top of the back of the block shows an 18 L which I suspect is Low compression.

I really only purchased this for parts but the body is less rusty than the '74 and I might swap all the works from the '74 into the '74 body.

I want to identify the engine in case I want to sell it.

I have a '72 and it has an 18V engine with two HIF4 carbs
I believe it was the first year for the 18V and the HIF4's.
