1500 valve springs

I’m turning my 79’ midget into a little hot rod with an engine rebuild, beefing up the bottom end, and putting a turbo on it. The head has been rebuilt but the springs are shot, (I can push them down with my thumb!) and I’m going to go with dual springs. The head has no recesses, it’s flat, and has the lower collars for the single springs. Will I need to buy new lower collars at 7 bucks a pop or will the old ones work? Some catalogs have the dual spring collars and some don’t.
