1500 tuning question

Hi all,

I'm getting ready for my safety check, and have had the chance to take the car around the block a few times.

It idles well, but stumbles and 'bucks' when accellerating at low revolutions(particularly when pushing hard). Once it gets up near 4K, power comes back and it smooths out.

Fuel supply? Fuel pressure? Where should I start looking? This is for a 1500 with a Weber, mechanical fuel pump and low-pressure fuel regulator, none of which have had much set-up beyond initial "get it running" time.

Sorry for the vagueness... not looking for miracles, just suggestions! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Hello Duncan,

as you say it goes well after 4,0000 when the fuel demands are higher, that seems to eliminate the fuel supply?

I would firstly check the ignition and ensure that is in good shape then I would guess you are looking at jetting of the carburettor.

Alec
