15 years ago tonight, 3000 American and other souls went to bed for the last time.

1st & 10th Anniversary some 3000 chairs in Bryant Park facing Ground Zero.

:thankyousign: That made my eyes a little wet.

I pray that future generations never forget that event. That photo of the chairs really drives it home. PJ

Have heard one or two stories this year of 9/11 Marketing and sales - I am grateful these attempts are met with disgust.

My only trip to NYC happened to be 9/11/2002. I went out of the hotel in the morning looking for coffee, turned the corner and there was the park full of chairs. Sat there (not in one of the chairs) for a long long while. Hard to express how I felt after watching the tragedy unfold on television a year earlier safe in Iowa but that park and those chairs are NYC to me. Not Broadway, not the Empire State Building, but those chairs. The brave heroes of flight 93 are also not forgotten.
