We've did 14 and 15" on Midgets in Superlites, we have undrilled stock that can be drilled for the 4 x 4" Spridget bolt pattern. We've even got one guy playing around with 14" spline drive alloys to replace his 13" spokes.
But what about tire clearance in a SWA Spridget. They put a 175/65/R14 on a 14 x 6 rim. Granted the tire height is shorter but substantially wider. How do you fit that kind of tire under the rear wheels without it rubbing? A 175 x 13 won't fit under there.
I love them, several other guys in our British Car Club have them on their Bugeyes and love them. When they were mounted, the guy doing the balance said that if they all balanced w/o weights he would not charge me. The last one needed some, darn! I run about 28 lbs in all and they are wearing great. They are rotated ~3K miles.
Thanks for the reply. I am going to get a set and if I hate them hopefully Yokahama will be making A0032s again in 13 inch by the time I wear them out.
So Steve, do you drive your car hard or kinda cruise, because I generally drive the snot out of mine. But speed is a relative thing,,, it is much easier to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow!
