Oh boy....

I really wish my car was converted! Is it a "BIG" thing to convert it??? Until then, I just have to cope with what I've got...I do understand that insulation is a big issue on positive grounded cars...something else..?? I still don't understand how it works! And why were they positive ground when every other country build their cars with negative ground?

No big deal. No costs. Easy. Twenty to thirty minutes. The only complicated thing is to switch the white wire on the tack at the loop. Most of us just cut the wires, reverse them and re-splice. The generator needs to be "flashed" which means to touch a wire to the case and get a spark. If you have an original radio some are pos only, some can be switched in the back. The battery needs to be reconnected and since the terminals are size sensitive you cannot just turn the battery around and reconnect. There are several sights that give instructions, the MG sight and Jim Werner Healey sight. I have some I can Email to you if you'd like.

.A more desciptive word here is "Isolation" which is required when trying to integrate modern [NEG GND] electrics in an old [POS GND] British car

--Insulation on the other hand is a big electrical issue regardless of the grounding system used. It keeps all the smoke in the wires.

I'm sorry for the delay. I am trying to get it scanned and somehow move it to where it can be sent to you. I've been away and I will try to work on it today.

Having a positive grounded car, I just purchased a small 12v (easily fits in the parcel shelf) rechargeable battery and wired a cigar lighter from any auto parts store to it. When I need the GPS I just plug it into the sealed small 12v battery and take off. Might not be good for really long trips but I have used it on a full days outing.

The small rechargeable 12v battery I bought is used on trailers with electric brakes as a safety item that is required in some states.
