Bryan,

I saw that in a message you posted earlier, but didn't realize you were showing me the item was for sale. I got a hold of Brian's email to try and buy it, but I will have to wait until he contacts me back to know anything. Either way, thanks for your help. I will reply back to let you know if I got it or not.

Steve, would you happen to know from your experience which ones do and do not hit the block?

Kevin

Short ones are ok, long are wrong, you can tell by looking.

Sorry Kevin,
Lpooking at my post, I can see how it could confuse. I should have said that was the link to his ad on the MGE..

Brya, I am not getting a reply from Brian. I used his email address, but is the correct way to contact someone from that forum?

If you have any troubles locating a oil filter adapter setup, let me know by PM. I've got a few of these still on some of the engines down in the BMC barn and can get one up for you. We don't use many of them on our race cars.

FWIW, if you add the 90 degree offset piece from the cannister set up and then re-adjust/bend the connector pipe from the oil outlet port, you can use a longer filter, like the PH2870A or 3600 and not have it hit the frame. I like to remove the brass plug from the adapter and open the internal passage up a little. Then tap, clean and close back up with a 1/4 NPT pipe plug.
