TR6 12 Year old daughter's new TR6 attitude

I'm in my 3rd month of TR6 ownership now...thanks to all in this forum who have helped solved my problems!

My 12 year old daughter scoffed at the filthy "piece of junk" when it arrived on the roll-back wrecker at our home back in March. While taking her on an evening cruise around town last week /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif, we had several comments from other drivers about our "cool car". My daughter now insists that the car isn't as bad as she thought! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's great, Joe. Wait until you take her to some school function; she'll really love it.

My 14 year old son knew I had bought my TR3 back in February, but hadn't seen it since it had to be in the shop to get it running.

The first day I was able to drive it I picked him up at school.

All he could say was "AWESOME" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

My 6 year old son has been helping me get the TR3 back on the road for the last 6 months.

The other night we went cruising around the neighborhood and he asked me if when he's a big kid do I think he'll get to drive it.

Another generation is born!

You guys are lucky. Both of my sons grew up and bought Hondas. Where did I go wrong?

I remember when my son was in Jr. High school and we had a nice '72 MGB and an old Chevy full size station wagon. We drove the wagon he would sometimes request that we stop a block or so from school ("for our convenince so we didn't have to get involved in the circle drive"). When we drove the MG, however, it was perfectly OK to drop him off right at the front entrance.
